Community Announcement

At Heyfield PS, we make a point to support our community of Heyfield, and surroundings. Please contact us if you wish for us to promote something on our page.

A part of our Community Announcement is also to communicate information from the Wellington Shire. You may have noticed some roadworks taking place around Heyfield. Regional Roads Victoria (RRV) and Wellington Shire Council have commenced works to improve safety on Traralgon-Maffra Road through Heyfield.

The works include installing a new footpath along Traralgon-Maffra Road on the school side. Please note that as of Monday 11 April we will be installing the footpath in front of the schools as this will be the first week of the school holidays. The path is anticipated to be completed by the time school returns.

More Than You Imagine

Year 7 2023 - Information Evening 

 Dear Parents/Carers,  

Maffra Secondary College would like to invite you to an information session for prospective Year 7 students in 2023. During the evening, you will hear from staff and current students who will talk about our college, our programs and transitioning to secondary school.  

The information evening will be held on Monday 2nd of May, at 7pm in the College Library. Prospective students and their parents/carers are welcome to attend. Tea and coffee will be provided.  

 Transition/Orientation Program 

 Maffra Secondary College will once again be running our extensive transition program for Grade 6 students transitioning to Year 7 in 2023. Student will participate in 2 x half day as well as one full day of transition. This will be in addition to the State-wide Orientation Day held towards the end of the year. More details will be sent out to primary schools in early term 2.
