What learning is taking place at Heyfield Primary School?
Special Project
With the guidance of Bill Smith, some of our students worked on a project about The Titanic. Their display was at school for a couple of weeks, until they took it to the Heyfield Library in town. Feel free to go and check it out!
From our students:
TITANIC
One of the topics that a lot of students love talking about is the Titanic. Dusty and Francis arranged a display for the students to look at. This consisted of replicas from the Titanic Artefact Collection, books and even coal that was brought up from the Titanic.
Dusty and Maddy will be setting the display up at Heyfield Library so if any parents would like to look at it, they are very welcomed to.
Thank you
Dusty, Francis and Maddy
Crazy Hair Day
As a whole school, we fundraised over $130 on the day to support Angus Lockett with this special cause. Angus explained at assembly why cutting his mullet is special to him and how much he raised himself.
Everyone embraced the day and had funny, creative as well as crazy hair! Well done everyone!
Jump Rope for Life
In Term 2, the whole school will take part in the Jump Rope for Life Program as part of our Wednesday activities. We will have 4 weeks to get fitter and gain more skills with skipping, with our last day being Friday 3rd June, where we will have a BBQ lunch to celebrate the program!
Any parents wishing to join can, just let us know!
