What happened this week?
Fun Food Day
The last Fun Food Day of the year was a BBQ and all children loved it. I hear some students, who don’t usually eat sausages, have changed their minds!
I would like to take the opportunity to thank Parents and Friends again for this great idea of Fun Food Day and for organising them each term. Last week, we had Maddie Briggs, Lyndal Smith and Michelle Dinsdale running this lunch but there are many other parents behind the scenes. So thank you to all involved.
Please do not hesitate to join us next year!
Pillow Project
Our 3/4 students have participated in the ‘Pillow Project’ and they learned about what to pack, using a pillow case, in the scenario of an emergency. This is even more relevant with holidays and summer days around the corner. We have had floods and we know bushfires are still a high risk.
Skateboard Clinic
All students learned to ride a skateboard safely on Friday, with the guidance of Nikita and Elliott from the YMCA. Due to the weather, we had to run the sessions in the Art room and it was fantastic to see. What a brave bunch of kids! I could not do any of it!!
Colour Run
As usual, the Colour Run was a fun day and students ended up wet and colourful. I think parents and staff who help throwing the coloured powder enjoy it as much as the kids.
Thank you to everyone who came and helped with the powder, taking photos or organising the bottles!
Maybe we should invite all parents to join next year!!
Other activities this past week were…
Reagan, Zoe and Harper singing Christmas Carols at lunchtime.
Gardening group did more work on the veggie patch.
Most importantly, our 2024 school captains have received their badge and are now ready for their official roles. They will run their first assembly on Tuesday at 2:30pm.
