What happened this week?

Timber Festival

What a great way to celebrate our town! Well done and thank you to Bill, Logan Tatt and Ayden Leask for their work on the truck. It looked fantastic!

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped over the whole weekend.

Personification

Students in both Junior and Senior levels have been learning about ‘personification’ and have been writing sentences to catch their reader’s attention.

Last week, I had a few sentences from the Junior students. This week, we will have sentences from the other end: senior students. I hope you enjoy!

Ask your child what sentence they wrote this week!

Wednesday fun!

This week, during board games’ activity, students learnt the game ‘Taco, Cheese, Goat’. This is a very fun game where you have to be skilled with reflexes and also have a good memory!

Another group visited the Laurina Lodge, and had much fun too.

Welcome BBQ

We had our Welcome BBQ on Wednesday and chatted away with new families. This event is always a nice informal way to get to know you, so make sure you come along next year!

Jaimee Jones and Megan Holt did a short presentation about the expectations on ‘homework’ and how important it is to read every night, even for 10 minutes. Rani Darby, one of our parents on school council talked about the ways you can get involved in our school. Do not hesitate to ask if you would like to know more.

Student Leaders

Congratulations to our student leaders who were presented their leaadership badge today, by our school captains. Being a leader is an important role, where responsibilities are designed to support all other students and give everyone a voice. I am confident this year’s student leadership group will do a fantastic job.
