What happened this week?
We need your help!
Letters have gone home with some students, whose families have been selected randomly to give us feedback via a survey. However, everyyone is welcome to complete this survey. This will enable us to see where we need to improve. The Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey will be open from Monday 7 August to Friday 8 September 2023. Use this link and PIN: https://www.orima.com.au/parent Our school's generic PIN is: 575201
The survey will be conducted online, only takes 20 minutes to complete, and can be accessed at any convenient time within the survey period on desktop computers, laptops, tablets or smartphones. The online survey will be available in English and 10 other languages. If you require to use a computer from school, please do not hesitate to ask Ann, at the office and we will organise for you to complete the survey at school.
The other feedback we require from you, by Friday 28th August, is regarding our Matrix, to teach expected behaviours at school. We can print a copy for you if need be, so you can write your feedback all over it and return it to us.
Music Performance
Room 5 sang ‘Riptide’ and showed us how to do it, with voices getting louder and louder as they went on. I cannot imagine how scary it would be! Standing there singing, while everyone is watching and listening. Very impressive!
The girls had their own part, backed up by the rest of the class. I am hoping we can have them sing this song again at the school concert. I will negotiate something with Mr Bartlett!
Lunchtime
From time to time, I like to take photos of what is happening in our yard during recess and lunchtime. I remember thinking I wish I could be a fly on the walls, or play equipment when my kids were at school, so I could see what they were enjoying doing with friends. So, I guess this is my way of doing it for you all!
Soccer is a big thing lately, and I think the Women Soccer World Cup has something to do with it. You can find any age group joining in! Dancing was happening today. Tennis and Basketball share the court. ‘Gang up’ or ‘Tag’ is another game. Others like to simply use the play equipments.
As you can tell, no one is shy in front of the camera! Especially Koby B, Declan P-H or Jack G!
It’s the little things…
Thank you to all staff for the special morning tea on Monday, to help celebrate Principal Day. I feel so grateful to have such a great team to work with.
Special thank you to Miss Schmidt for the beautiful frog she made!
Another Thank you to Bec Bourke, our student teacher, in Room 1, who took the time tonight, after school had ended to decorate the town Library with our students’ work. The display looks fabulous! Our students will be very proud.
