What happened this week?
Wednesday Activities
This past week, the gardening group did a lot of work, ripping the garden beds off. They will place tanks there instead.
Our Pottery group carved in or glazed their work. Arlo showed some very creative way to make a snake coming out of the ground!
All look so good! I truly think some pieces should be placed as exhibit for our Art Festival!
Some snapshots of our learning this week…
At the moment, when you walk down to the middle area, you can see displays of the Skittle Maths our grade 5/6 students have done, with their graphs. You also would be able to see a sneak peak of the games they have been creating for their Carnival, and ads to promote them.
Personally, I cannot wait to play the Wheel of Fortune! I think the boys are still trying to work out the weight balance so they don’t lose each time!
Another maths learning with Statistics used cards and looked at mean, mode and median.
Well done to all grade 6 students who attended Maffra Secondary College for their first Transition day there. Everyone had a great time.
Donut Day
THANK YOU very much to all parents involved in organising the Donut Day and especially Holly Bourke, Michelle Dinsdale and Lyndal Smith.
Also, thank you to the Heyfield Bakery for supporting us with this Fun Food Day. All students who had a donut on the day, truly enjoyed it! Photos are the proof of it!
