What happened this week?
Music Performance
Message from Mr. Bartlett
Thanks to Benji and Harper for a great drumming performance today. Next week we will see Legends Of The Rhythm performing two songs at our Friday assembly, at 12:30pm.
Tim Bull
Tim visited our school on Monday to talk to our 3-6 students about government and the difference between Federal, State and Local governments. He had a walk through our Art Show too and enjoyed seeing the various artwork.
Laurina Lodge
Our Prep/1 grade went to the Laurina Lodge, this past week, to interact with the animals that visited the residents. They all spent time cuddling and patting the animals. Children and adults had much fun!
Transition Day
Our second Transition Day was a success. As you can see, smiles were all around!
Next week, we will have the pleasure to welcome our future Foundation students to the school assembly and possibly the colour run too.
Wednesday Activities
One of our activities, this time around, is scooter riding. Miss Schmidt took her group to the skatepark and they showed her all the tricks they know!
Bike Education Program
Senior students enjoyed their last day of the Bike Ed Program at the Wetlands with a little challenge organised by their teachers. Congratulations to the winning team: Caley, Hudson, Jacoby, Deegan, Harper, Isla, Mac, Flynn, Matthew and Rex.
Thank you to all parents who came and gave us a hand during this program: Chantelle Richards, Lyndal Smith, Kev Hanson, Rani Darby and her mum, Amy Semmens. (Hopefully I haven’t forgotten anyone!)
Thank you to Ann Schmidt, Tiffany Sweet and Jaimee Jones for organising it all and to Bill Smith, Rhonda Stuart, Emily Johnstone and Megan Stone for supporting them.
Wheelchair Basketball
All students have started learning how to move around with a wheelchair and found out it is not that easy, at first. They improved very quickly though and for the next 3 weeks, they will keep improving!
